The Moringa Oleifera Plant is of African origin and had been given the name ‘miracle plant’ or ‘tree of life’. It has been in Jamaica since 1817 and can now be found world wide, including India, The Philippines and in South and Central America.

Every part of the tree can be used, from the leaves to the small and large pods, both of which can be eaten like nuts. It can be purchased as a supplement to be taken daily or in powder form which can be added to food and drink.

Right, here goes: Moringa had seven times more vitamin C than oranges, four times more vitamin A than carrots, four times more calcium than milk and twice as much protein as milk. It has three times more iron than almonds, three times more vitamin C than spinach and three times the potassium found in bananas.
